SteadyYields strategy has been restarted under new management with new implementation and new profit targets. Here are the monthly results of the first 3 months under old management: The strategy was managed by Scott Batchelar. This is a description from one of our members of what happened in June.

Same for me. And yes the Hamlet set is one of my favorites.

This would be better posted on ADBE discussion topic or PM, but our system shows that the email has been sent. Did you check the spam folder?

I don't know who said it, but I like this saying: "drawdowns are the price you pay to keep your edge alive". If a strategy only made money and never lost, eventually everybody would be doing it and the edge would be gone. Also, and this is applicable to any strategy, if the drawdown you are experiencing is too much for you, you are trading too large. You could make trades half the size as the official ones and put the other half in BOXX or JAAA ETFs, for instance. You would still have incredible returns and half the drawdown. @Bullfighter

One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite movies.

It is actually. The link to this topic is included in the welcome email. How many members actually read is another question of course. Part of "today's fast-paced world" I guess. Similar to an email I got from one of the members asking me "Do you have any auto trades services where one can just park money and see these great returns as you claim." But this is my favorite one: https://steadyoptions.com/forums/forum/topic/1260-discussion-aapl-august-2013-trade/?do=findComment&comment=23606

Steady PutWrite has been discontinued. Here are the monthly returns of the strategy: The strategy was managed by Jesse Blom.

I think the first question to ask when considering a subscription service is: do they actually trade? If they do, do they track their live trades? Do they publish their track record? If yes, is it honest and transparent? If they don't trade, how do you even know that the methods they teach are profitable? As Tom Nunamaker mentioned, it's like learning to be a surgeon from someone who hasn't operated in 12 years.. (now it would be 20 years). I think the fact that they now charge monthly subscription instead of one time fee doesn't change all previous comments. The essence is the same.

We are pleased to expand our services offerings with a new strategy called SteadyYields. Here are the service parameters: Tailored for medium term active traders Model portfolio size - $10,000 Underlying -TLT, TMF Average holding period - 2-4 weeks Number of trades per month - 3-5 plus adjustments Profit target - 30-40%+ annually There is a long-term correlation between oil prices and constant maturity yields for the 10-year Treasury. SteadyYields is a trading strategy that takes advantage of this correlation. Details can be found on the members forums discussions. We recommend trading with a low or no commission broker (like Tradier or FirstTrade). TMF & TLT are extremely liquid, scaling up will not be a problem. June 30, 2024 update Scott Batchelar who was the original strategy manager of SteadyYields and introduced the strategy to our members in March 2024 has left our company to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Batchelar is no longer managing any of our services. He is not involved in any of our activities in any capacity. We are not associated in any way with any of Mr. Batchelar's businesses and cannot comment, advise or endorse any of them. Mr. Batchelar managed the SteadyYields strategy in a way that was not suitable to our members and not in line with our trading philosophy. The new managers will follow the concept of the service in a manner we believe to be more appropriate for our members and also respond to concerns in a manner consistent with our site. The trading parameters have been significantly modified to reduce risk (including position sizing, hedging, lower profit targets and lower potential drawdowns etc.) For the record, the original strategy description has been written by Scott Batchelar.

Yes, the numbers include leverage. As mentioned in the first post: You can still make around 12-15% with zero leverage, which is an amazing return for such low risk strategy. or you can use a regular margin account, apply 1.5-2x leverage and make 15-25%. Yes, it is very dependent on dividend capture. @cwelsh anything to add?

Tradier recent pricing change is a game changer for those who cannot trade with FirstTrade. No more excuses.

SteadyOptions Bundles and Long Term Subscriptions
Humble replied to Humble's topic in Read This First
SteadyVol is a separate product. Not sure what difference you are referring to.. -
As mentioned in the service description: Average Hold Period: 6 months to a year Tailored for long term traders 12-24 trades per year So the service obviously is less active. There is no option to switch services (unless you are subscribes to 2 services bundle). Please cancel one service and subscribe to another. Thanks.

You keep the old rate when upgrading to yearly.

We are pleased to inform our members that this trade will become part of our official model portfolio.

Thank you @Yowster for the excellent summary as usual! We continue delivering the most consistent and stable performance 12 years in a row! It's nice to call a 114% return "typical". And the beauty of our trading philosophy is having different strategies in our model portfolio that compliment each other. As I mentioned in one of the discussion topics, our performance reporting is very conservative. We rarely have more than 5 trades open at the same time, but with 5 trades open, you are basically only 50% invested. If you made 10% on the invested capital, we would report as 5% return on the total account. No service is doing it, but this is the only correct way to do it. But it also means that members can invest more than 10% per trade on trades that are more conservative and more liquid. Also there are tons of unofficial trades that don't make it to the official portfolio due to their size.being too large for 10k portfolio. If we reported performance like most other services do (return on investment and not on the whole portfolio), our reported performance would be 300%+. More details: How We Calculate Returns? Thank you again to everyone for their support, and of course special thanks to our contributors @Yowster @krisbee @TrustyJules @cwelsh @Jesse and @SBatch We would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays, Happy New Year and healthy and prosperous 2024!

Don’t know how many times the point that SO isn’t an alert service has to be repeated. Yet I enter official trades at or better than official frequently, sometimes days after the official, and yes sometimes better pricing continues to get ‘better’, I know when to cut losses. Very often I will enter my own variant, sometimes works out better, sometimes not. For me the crux is that I’ve learnt more about how to trade independently without blowing the account here than anywhere else, with strategies that are intrinsically safe especially in difficult markets when my long positions suffer.. Most of us mere mortals have to start small, I appreciate that SO continues to use 1k trades as the starting trade size, doesn’t stop anyone from scaling. But it’s especially what I’ve learnt here that makes the service so valuable to me. SO is the most transparent service out there, hands down and it’s perpetually innovating strategies too. really I couldn’t ask for more. I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays, here’s to a new year with more understanding and less conflict. @t'pee
